SOTF SWITCH — 20-25 POWERSTROKE 6.7L
Installing the EZ LYNK shift-on-the-fly switch on a 2020–2025 Ford F-250/F-350 Super Duty 6.7L Power Stroke: mounting the switch in the cab, feeding its wires through the firewall, and plugging it into the charge air temperature sensor harness. You will need a razor, a coat hanger or stiff wire, tape, zip ties and a small drill bit for the mounting hole.
Steps
1 Pop the hood and unpack the switch
2 Choose a spot in the cab to mount the switch
There are no good factory mounting holes, so drill a small hole and mount the switch using the template, as pictured.
3 Locate the hood release cable where it passes through the firewall
It is behind the brake pedal.
4 Cut a slit in the hood release grommet
Use a razor, working from inside the cab.
5 Tape the switch wires to a coat hanger or stiff wire
Tape the wire ends to the end of the hanger so they can be fed through to the engine bay.
6 Pull the hanger and wires through the grommet into the engine bay
7 Remove the tape and free the switch wires from the hanger
8 Slide the supplied conduit over the wires
It protects them under the hood.
9 Pin the switch wires into the supplied connector
Only 2 wires need connecting, and they can go in either hole.
10 Disconnect the factory harness from the charge air temperature sensor
11 Plug the switch connector into the truck harness and tape off the factory sensor connector
The harness plug is in the centre of the picture. Tape off the sensor's factory connector to prevent corrosion.
12 Zip-tie the conduit and switch wiring under the hood
